Training weekend March 10th/11th
There will be an exciting weekend of orienteering training coming up in March.
The training will be based in Munster and is on the weekend of March 10th and 11th. (make a note in your diaries!) The weekend is open to all squad members and anyone else who would like to benefit from some top-class terrain training.
The weekend is being organised by Darren Burke with help from his CorkO club mates. There is limited free accommodation available and lifts can be organised if you are travelling by train (see Darren for acc. and travel options).
The programme is pretty flexible at the moment but looks like this:
Saturday: Double training sessions (Crohane)
Saturday evening: Night-O, or if there is a good turnout for the weekend then a talk from the inspirational John Lenihan could be arranged!
Sunday: options are a long run from Kenmare to Killarney along the old Kenmare road, or some more serious orienteering at CorkO’s munster league event on the new Nagles map.
All in all it promises to be an excellent weekend of events.
