Photography competition

We’re seeking your help to promote the sport of orienteering in Ireland!

We’d love to see your orienteering photos, whether it be the fast running elites, or everyday orienteering depicting the sports inclusiveness and diversity of participation. We would like to supplement the bank of professional orienteering photos that we have by running a photo and video competition.

The competition will be run for the month of April 2021 and your submissions will be shown on this website and social media channels as they are submitted. Participants can also post their submissions on their own social media channels and tag IOA, however only those submitted directly via email will be deemed as submitted (to ensure we don’t miss any entries).

There will be the following prize categories:

Video

Best short video (less than 2 minutes). Give your viewers a taste of orienteering and what it means to you.

Two prizes: €100 each for open (adult) and junior (M/W20 and below -2021)

Still photos

First and second prizes for still photos.

Four prizes: First prize €100 and second prize €50, each for open (adult) and junior (M/W20 and below -2021)

Photos and videos must be less than five years old.
