Munster Schools Primary Championships
Thank you to WATO for hosting 250 pupils at Colligan wood on March 13th.
Bunscoil Chroist Ri dominated the 5th class boys with the first three finishers (Luke Healy, Cian Hodnett and Graham Stack) Keelan Doherty from Faithlegg NS finished a close 4th.

The 6th class boys was also dominated by Bunscoil Chroist Ri with again the first 3 finishers (Ronan Dalton, George Murphy and Mark Hill ). They were followed home by Cian O’Connor (Killavullen NS), Bryan Brown (Butlerstown) and John Monaghan (Faithlegg).





Convent Primary Mallow dominated the team events in 5th and 6th class girls with the first three finishers in 6th class (Shauna Murphy, Brid O’Keeffe and Molly Roche). In the 5th class, Helen Manning (Bunscoil) led the way followed by Ava Lankford (Killavullen), Georgia Messinger (CP Mallow) and Jordan Pim (Dunhill). Dunhill finished a close 2nd in the team event.

The Gaelscoil Cluain Meala and Fenor dominated the pairs competition.
Munster Secondary Schools Championships
Congratulations to Waterford orienteering Club who hosted 450 competitors at the Munster Secondary Schools championships on March 14th. The venue was Colligan wood near Dungarvan, County Waterford. The 6 main categories were won by 6 different schools.

PJC Girls: Newtown, Waterford: Leading individuals: Faye Mansfield (St Marys Mallow), Katie Gurnee and Gillian Bond: (Newtown)
2/3 girls: St Mary’s Mallow: Leading individuals: Norah O’Brien (St Marys Midleton), Katie Murphy and Patricia Hayes (St Marys Mallow)
1 girls: Ursuline, Waterford.: Leading individuals: Ciara Silby (Ursuline), Tara O’Keeffe (St Marys Midleton) and Ciara McCarthy (Ursuline)
PJC Boys: Midleton CBS from CBS High School,Clonmel and Newtown. The leading individuals were: Adrian O’Donovan (Nagle Rice), Darragh Lane and Joe Millerick (Midleton CBS)
2/3 Boys: Nagle Rice, Doneraile by 90 seconds from Newtown
Leading individuals: Robert Pim (Newtown), David Glassett (Nagle Rice) and Julian Power (Midleton College)
1 Boys: Colaiste Chroist Ri, Cork: Leading individuals: Jacob Pim (Newtown), Pol de Barra and Joshua de Burtun (Colaiste Chroist Ri)
