Senior squad training weekend, program of events.
October 20th – 21st, Tollymore-Carlingford

Saturday
10 am Training at Meelmore/Lukes Mountain. One course, 7.9km/330m climb, open mountain. There is a charge at the Meelmore Lodge carpark (£4). Carpool where possible.
12pm Lunch (bring your own!) and Training analysis
Ed Niland has very generously offered post-training massage :)
2 pm Hill-run to Donard or fell-run, route dependent on weather conditions
4.15 pm Micro Orienteering at Tollymore National Outdoor Centre
6 pm Dinner at Tollymore Centre
7:30 pm Introduction by IOA high performance director, Darren Burke
Talk: ‘How I developed my orienteering technique’ Thierry Gueorgiou
Raffle for a Silva Alpha headlamp, kindly donated by IOA communications

Sunday
11 am – 1 pm Leinster Spring Cup event on Carlingford.
Approx. 1 hour drive from Annalong accommodation. All men have been entered for the brown course (11k m/44 5m climb and 1:15,000 scale) and all women on the Blue (7.2 km, 250m climb). To change, just ask the organisers on the day. Entries have been pre-paid for those staying overnight.

Junior squad members are welcome to take part in any of the training sessions free-of-charge.

Showers are available on Saturday free-of-charge at the Tollymore centre and in our accommodation nearby. Accommodation is at the Cornmill Quay cottages. IMPORTANT! Each cottage is responsible for buying its own breakfast food – please arrange amongst yourselves. You could also buy lunch things for Sat/Sunday – again, arrange with those you are sharing with. The sharing arrangements are below.

Help will be needed during the day for the open training sessions, collecting controls, etc.
Carpooling is encouraged. If you can offer lifts or need a lift, use the senior squad facebook page.
