National Squads

Within Irish orienteering there are plenty of opportunities to represent your club or Country.
Opportunities are available at junior, elite and veteran levels.

High Performance Squad

This is the National Squad from which teams are selected to take part in international orienteering competitions such as the World Orienteering Championships or World Cups. Age classification 21 and upwards.

Selection policy 2026

Junior Squad

This team includes all juniors (under 21) from Ireland (North & South) who are interested in and enjoy orienteering, and who hope to become good enough to represent Ireland internationally. Events include Junior World Orienteering Championships, European Youth O’ Championship, and Junior Home Internationals.
