JWOC 2015 – Record relay results

The Irish team delivered delightfully with a fantastic finale at wonderful World Championships.

The Men’s team of Jonathan Quinn, Niall McCarthy and Paul Pruzina produced consistently strong runs to secure a National JWOC relay record of 18th place.
This surpassed the previous record of 19th from both 1992: John Feehan, Marcus Pinker, and David Ryan and the 2009 team of : Nicolas Simonin, Kevin O’Boyle, and Ruairi Short

The Women’s team of Róisín Long, Niamh Corbett and Aoife McCavana showed similar strength to secure another National JWOC relay record of 14th.
This bested the previous record of 20th from both 1994: Joanne Mein, Ailbhe Creedon, and Faye Pinker, and the 2002 team of : Niamh O’Boyle, Aislinn Austin, and Sarah Browne

These were tremendous results to cap of a great week of results for the Irish team, and show the continual strength and depth coming through the current junior squad.

Long may it continue (i.e. looking forward to Switzerland 2016).
