IOC 2026 – Area Embargo

Cork Orienteering Club are pleased to announce that they will be returning to the Sheep’s Head Peninsula, West Cork, to host the Irish Orienteering Championships on the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2026.

In accordance with Orienteering Ireland rules, this area will be embargoed for orienteering and training from now (February 2025) until the end of the competition (5th May 2026).

More specifically, the boundaries of the embargoed area include The Black Gate to the southwest and Glanlough to the northeast, as in the attached image.
