Waterford Orienteers invite you to join them in Castlecomer Discovery Park, County Kilkenny S537 731 for a joint Munster and Leinster league event round 1
on Sunday 13th January.

Planner: Neil Dobbs
Controller: Andrew Cox
Mapper: Pat Healy at scale 1 to 7500, updated within last week.
All maps will be on waterproof paper and printed by BML print.

Brown course 29 controls 8.3 km
Blue course 22 controls 6.3 km
Green course 12 controls 4.5 km
Light green 13 controls 4.0 km
Red course (less technical) 10 controls 4.7 km
Orange course 10 controls 3 km
Yellow course 11 controls 2 km
Green,Blue and Brown courses will have contorls in the quarry area.
Controls are SiAir enabled. Early runners may need to wake up some more remote controls so if you are planning to use SiAir do not start at 11!
Please remember to punch the check before you start to activate SiAir.

Registration will be adjacent to the main carpark, close to the cafe and toilets.
Please note there is a charge to exit the carpark.
The start is 200 metres to NW of carpark.
Starts between 11 and 1
The finish will be less than 100 metres from Registration/download
Please note that the start and finish are not adjacent to each other as this switches off the SiAir....we learnt from our mistake.

Entry fees as standard: €8 adults €5 student/OAP €4 Junior €20 Family
Anyone bringing  a grop of any size is asked to email to ensure we have enough maps.

Tea/coffee etc will not be provided as the cafe is adjacent to download.

We are offering free entry to the first 2 volunteers to offer to bring in controls after the event. This is not a very onerous job but we will be quite stretched with manpower.

Any queries/offers to

until the next Message,
Andrew Cox

Hi all!
Just to say, after visiting the terrain over the past month, it\'s like nowhere else I\'ve orienteered, so if you haven\'t been it\'s definitely worth the trip! The longer courses will surprise you with a variety of adventures. The terrain can be prickly in places, but we\'ve avoided the nasty bits and will have streamered a couple of spots where appropriate.

The weather forecast is decent.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Super event and well worth the trip down. The 7.5k scale made the quarry a bit of fun.  SI air ditto was great. Thanks to all in WatO.
