Not to be confused with Fethard-on-sea, the next urban series race will be hosted by Waterford orienteering club in the walled town of Fethard, Co.Tipperary on Sunday 17th November.
The town has been recently mapped by Pat Healy and Andrew Cox at 1 to 4,000 and has been printed on waterproof paper by BML print so no disintegration!
Course lengths

Long course 4.5 km 23  controls
Medium course 3.5 km, 21 controls
Short adult (crosses roads) 2.1 km, 15 controls
Short junior (crosses no roads) 1.2 km, 9 controls
All distances straight line so mulitipy by roughly 30%

Parking and registration at the Ballroom S204349
Start and Finish within 100 metres.
Starts between 10 and 12. The earlier you start the less the traffic on main street.
Toilets will be available at the Ballroom (I hope)

Thank you to Tipperary sports partnership with funding of the map.
The Fethard Horse Country Experince on main street will be open after the event from 12 to 2 by kind permission. There is an entry fee but I will try to arrange a reduced group rate. It is  a short walk from the parking.
I can recommend  Dooks and McCarthys hotel for food. Both are close by.

The league standings after 2 events are Urban Series&date_from=09/19&date_to=07/20&best_of=2
Agris K leads the way on the long course with 3 events still to go

until the next Message,
