Welcome to Orienteering Ireland's new Limerick Urban Series, in conjunction with Limerick Sports Partnership

This series of orienteering events aims to introduce people of all ages and abilities to the sport of orienteering. Orienteering Ireland instructors will be on hand to show you how to get started and advise you on what to do. Families welcome.

The series consists of three events:

• Sunday October 13th - University of Limerick Campus (UL)
• Sunday November 3rd - Merchant's Quay / Three Bridges area of Limerick
• November 24th - University of Limerick Campus (UL)

• Short c. 2km - Suitable (and recommended) for beginners to the sport; family friendly. No prior experience needed
• Medium c. 3.5km - Suitable for both beginners, with some confidence and experience in map reading, and those with prior experience in orienteering.
• Long c. 5km - Suitable for people who have prior experience in orienteering, looking to do a longer, more technical course.

• What to wear - wear clothing suitable for being active outdoors. Dress for the weather.
• Footwear - wear runners or active footwear suitable for walking, jogging, or running. UL will mainly be on hard surfaces.
• What to bring - bring some water to drink for afterwards.
• Parking - please park in the UL car parking spaces.
• Public transport - UL is served by a number of bus services. Sunday service applies.
• Toilets - available in UL Sports Arena.
• Dogs - dogs on a lead and under control are permitted on UL Campus. Dog handlers MUST clean up after their dogs and leave nothing behind.
• Rubbish - Orienteering Ireland operates a Leave No Trace policy. Please ensure you take all your rubbish away with you.
