This is the 2nd event in the 2024 Dublin Urban Series, a fun beginner focused orienteering series.

There are three courses to choose from:

Short (c. 1 - 2km) – aimed at total beginners, families wanting to stroll, or those with buggies.

Medium (c. 3 - 4km) – aimed at those fairly new to the sport, and are building on their orienteering skills.

Long (c. 5 - 6km) – aimed at those more experienced in orienteering.

This year the venue has been extended to use Sean Moore park as well for the long course. There will be a timed crossing across Sean Moore road allowed for this but as always runners are  asked to take care when crossing the road as it is extremely busy.   

Directions and Parking : Use the Eircode D04 C2R1 to find your way to the entrance on Cambridge Road. Park on the road.

Public transport: Buses C1, C2 and 47 serve the area.

Note: The park is expected to be busy with other users. Don't cross pitches or courts that are in use.

SportIdent will be used but not Contactless.

 2024 Dublin Urban Series consists of 6 beginner fun focused orienteering events being held across the Capital on Tuesday evenings from 2nd July to 6th August.

9^th July Ringsend Park

16^th July St Anne’s Park

23^rd July Corkagh Demesne

30^th July Sport Ireland Campus

6^th August  Phoenix Park

There will also be a small amount of training provided for newcomers at these events to encourage newcomers and people who are returning to the sport to come and try it. Specific event information and contact details are available on the fixture page for each event.
