Update December 20th: after much to-ing and fro-ing we have finally got permission to run this annual score event at Griffeen Park, Lucan: many thanks to South Dublin County Council for permitting the event.

This will be a score event where you choose which controls to visit in the time allowed (45 minutes). Each control has a points value and the points add up to make your score BUT if you are over the allowed time you will start to lose points very quickly! It's important to watch the time so you're not late back.

There will be two courses called Long and Short although they are both 45 minutes.

There will be a twist on the LONG course: you can visit either the EVEN or the ODD numbered controls before reaching a "transition control" after which you can change to the ODD or the EVEN numbered controls ... to keep your brain engaged!.

On the SHORT course you can visit the controls in any order, even and odd, with no penalty for changing from odd to even.

Parking will be at Hayden's Lane car park (see map here https://osm.org/go/es952dtQ-?m=). Due to Covid, this will be a pre-entry only event. Note start times are 10.30 to 12.00; courses close 1 pm.

There will, as always, be extra points if you run in fancy dress or a Christmas outfit but, no, a Santa hat is not enough and the judges' decision is final!
