The "Dublin by Night" series continues in the Phoenix Park - the usual format of two courses of similar technical difficulty, just different lengths. Courses will start near the Furry Glen, inside the Knockmaroon Gate in the NW part of the Park. Entries opened on 1st January and close on 12th January. The Long course will be about 6 km and the Short course will be about 3 km. The courses are aimed at fairly experienced orienteers and are not suitable for unaccompanied juniors. You will need a headlamp or a good torch - it's dark in the Park at night. There will be entry on the night at €10/€6 so please enter online in advance. Contactless (SIAC) punching will be enabled. It is difficult to get close to the start/finish by public transport. The toilets in the Biodiversity Centre at the Furry Glen will be open on the evening of the event - thanks to the OPW for their assistance. |
