"Come and try it" event aimed at people who have not tried orienteering before - schools, scouts, sports clubs in the Lucan area. Pre-entry is available but you can also enter on the day. Save money and get the special rate for pre-entry. More details will be on the IOA Forum and at www.3roc.net. Existing orienteers are also welcome! Pre-entry: Children €2; Student/OAP/Unwaged €3; Adults €4. Pre-entry closes at 12 midday on Saturday 12th March. Entry on the day: Children €4; Student/OAP/Unwaged €6; Adults €8. All the income from this event will be given to the Irish Red Cross to help the victims of the war in Ukraine. You can also make an additional donation using this link to the Irish Red Cross Ukraine appeal. Three courses: The Short course is less than 3 km, the Medium course is about 4 km and the Long course is about 6 km. We'll be using SportIdent electronic timing so you'll get your own result printed out at the finish and you get to keep your special orienteering map. Orienteering is suitable for all levels of fitness and all ages; you can go on your own or with family and friends, and you can walk, jog or run, whatever you like! Use it to add interest to a walk or make it a race against the others in your sports club. |
