Summary Leinster League event for a range of 8 courses to suit all abilities. Open mountain with few line features for all courses except Yellow, Orange & Red which mainly stay within a woodland area.

Please pre enter by thursday evening to calculate map numbers. Some extra maps will be printed for entry on day. Adult €12, Students, Children & OAP €6 

Access is via Coillte entrance 5km west of Wickow Gap on the R756. Use directions to Oakwood Centre or use eircode W91 KT25
Parking and registration is more then 3km in along forest road with some potholes. Parking is along forest road, hopefully within 400m of registration.

Event is run under permits from Wicklow Mountains National Park and Coillte. 

Whistles are mandatory for all courses except Yellow, Orange and Red. The area is in remote Wicklow Mountains. Cagoules (hooded coats) will be required if weather is poor.

Ticks are now active.

No dogs in the terrain. There are sheep. 

Terrain is open mountain with numerous contour and rock features. Runnability is variable.

Yellow & Orange and most of Red course are in or adjacent to woodland.

2 starts.
Yellow and Orange adjacent to registration. This start closes at 12.30 with courses closing at 2pm. Finish 200m from registration/download.

The start for all other courses is 1km away with 80m climb. Allow about 20 minutes give or take. The route to start passes by finish. (except for red course which finishes at lower finish) Start times 11am to 1pm with courses closing at 3pm. Finish is 800m from registration/download.

Maps are on Rite in the Rain paper which provides good water resistance. Bags may be offered for the longest courses if it is wet.
A4, map scale 1:7500 except Blue and Brown which are 1:10,000

Contactless control punching is enabled using SIAC. Not the start or finish.

Extra course notes.
No course is buggy friendly.
Red course starts at upper start and finishes at lower finish.
Short Green has been kept short to avoid the worst of the heather.
Brown, Blue, Green and Light Green have river crossing. Usually easy to cross without submerging feet.
