Glendasan is the open area on the left before you reach Wicklow Gap when travelling from Laragh. The area is covered by rock and contour detail. A range of courses are offered to cater for all ages and abilities. Some course lengths may seem short, but this is a technical and in parts a physical area. Having said that, we have been restricted in the area available to use and this has shortened the Brown course. Underfoot conditions are currently better then ever experienced before and hence runnability is better then usual.

Yellow Course, Young Junior beginners all on paths, but not suitable for buggies
Orange Course, Short Novice Path based
Red Course, Long Novice, Path based
Light Green Course, experience needed Not as technical or physical as Green Course
Green course Technical, For experienced orienteers only, Less physical than Blue Course
Blue Course, Technical, For those seeking longer then Green Course but not as long as Brown Course
Brown Course, Technical, the most physical Course 

Start times, 11-1pm, courses close 3pm.
Scale 1:10000 for Red, Blue and Brown. 1:7500 for all other courses 
There is no legend on the map. Loose legends will be available at registration or at the start.

Sportident timing, SI-air will not be enabled.
If you have entered with your own SI, there is no need to visit registration.

Registration and download are near parking. Both the start and finish are about 1km from parking on separate access routes. There is no link between the 2.

Parking access at Wicklow Gap. Parking will be on the ESB road into Lough Nahanagan, (under Turlough Hill) at O 078 002.

Parking needs to be off road to keep room for 2 way traffic on the ESB road.

While pre-entry is preferred, we will also welcome entries on the day.  If there is an adequate signal it will be possible to pay using SumUp. Refreshments will be offered at download, please remember to bring your own cup if you can.

Please be aware there may be ticks in the competition area.
