Notes

Cork Orienteering Club are delighted to invite you to take part in the SouthWest League #4 event at Crohane Lake, next Sunday September 28th. This area was used for the 1998 World Cup Qualification Races and Shamrock O-Ringen. It is typical West Cork/Kerry open mountain with intricate contour detail. The area is high open moorland, ruggest and wet in the best of weather, and not suitable for novices. In poor weather, even runners on the Orange course will need to be confident in their orienteering skills. Whistles are mandatory, and rain jackets may be compulsory on the day.

Many of the courses pass through patches of bracken, which may have ticks, so full leg cover and high socks are recommended.
