AVOID Kilternan as many roads through it are blocked. Instead:

Carrickgollogan is a mixture of open hillside, runnable forest with lots of paths and tracks as well as denser forest with just a few tracks. The area has not been used in several years and has changed a lot due to damage from fires, last years storms and the ongoing project to change it from conifer to native irish trees and the map has been extensively updated by Eoin Browne.

There will be 3 courses 

Adventure : 2.2 K, Medium 3.7 K and Long 6.1K.

The Event center will be the main Carrickgollogan Forest trail carpark and the event tent, Registration and download and finish will be located just on the edge of the carpark. 

Carparking is extremely limited and we would  recommend that people car pool if possible at all. There are 3 options

1. The main Carrickgollogan Forest trail carpark. Ideally we would prefer if just families with children or elderly people or full cars used this, especially the busy first hour up to 12PM.
2. There is also another car park at Barnaslingan Forest that is just a 6 minute walk away.
3. We have the use of a Coillte forest road,  100 metres to the south of Barnaslingan car park in the Bray direction and we would ask any experienced orienteers or cars with just one person to park here. 

 As with any forest event we would recommend full leg cover.
