Summary Complex, runnable, steep open mountain.

More information shortly. Early bird online entries (with lower entry fees) will be available with limited entry on the day. The Junior Home International is on the same weekend. The Northern Ireland Championships is a week later on broadly similar terrain so it will be good preparation for that.

There will be a €2 per car charge for parking.

Carlingford Mountain is one of the most challenging areas in the country, but also very runnable and very rewarding. If you didn't run in the 2022 Leinster Championships, this is your chance to experience the same terrain, with (hopefully) spectacular views over Carlingford Lough, the Mourne Mountains and all down the coast to Dublin. If you did run the Leinster Champs, this will (again, hopefully) give you the opportunity to see what you couldn't see last time when bad weather descended on the mountain.

No whistle, no go. You may be required to wear suitable weatherproof clothing.

Difficulty rating 7/10 Open mountain only, no paths
