Christmas Fun Event

Join us for a festive morning of orienteering along the newly redeveloped Marina Promenade — a beautiful 1.8km walkway by the River Lee!

Explore our updated map featuring exciting new additions like the revamped Holland Park with its brand-new playground and refurbished slides, the elevated tree walk by Barrington’s Folly, and the scenic Atlantic Pond.

With courses suitable for all experience levels, it’s a fun and active way to spend a morning outdoors with the whole family — and a great excuse to work off a few Christmas treats while you're at it.

This year Down Syndrome Ireland is our nominated charity so all proceeds from this event will be donated to this worthy cause.

Start will be 700m along the Marina Promenade, signposted from the Páirc Uí Chaoimh end.

Controls must alternate between odd and even.

Plus, Santa drew the course maps after a few Christmas scoops, so the control circles are dodgy - the controls are somewhere in the circle, but not necessarily in the centre. The descriptions however were done the next day, so should be correct.

If you get some new O-gear for Christmas there is no better place to test it out then at our Christmas Fun Event. So why not join us on the day and work off that Christmas dinner! It is our last event of the year and is sure to be a fun and social gathering.
