Summary New map of popular walking forest with many paths roads.

The first orienteering event at Bansha, Co Tipperary for nearly 40 years takes place on 26th Feb with start times between 11am and 12.30pm. Bansha wood is located (Google: 52.452185,-8.095940) roughly 3/4 ways along the N24 Cahir to Cahir - Tipperary road and the wood entrance is located 2.5km north west of Bansha village, taking around 1 hour to reach from Cork.

The forest is extensive including two steep hills and a complex network of paths. Bansha is a working forest with a mix of deciduous and evergreen plantation where the limited runnable areas are interspersed with green areas allowing for challenging route choices especially on the blue and brown courses.
