European champs selection
All Irish squad members who wish to be considered for the EOC 2012 team must notify the selection panel, emailelites@orienteering.ie before March 21st 2012.
The EOC team will be chosen by the selection panel based on form up to spring 2012. To include at least 2 of the following spring competitions:
- British sprint champs, England, March
- JK festival, Scotland, April
- WRE Silva league event 2, Sweden
- All World ranking events from 2011/2012
(Athletes must have reached a minimum standard of achievement to gain selection)
The finalised EOC team is to be announced around April 21st.
Once selected, athletes must inform the selection panel of their preferred race disciplines.
If required (due to a large team) the selection panel will decide athletes race disciplines, start blocks and Relay teams.
These will be announced around May 1st.
