Contactless Punching at Orienteering Events

A date for your diary, 14th July 2021 from 7pm to 8pm.

There will be a presentation/workshop on using the new SportIdent Contactless Cards (SIAC’s)

Sport Ireland have provided grant aid for Contactless punching in orienteering, this will mean no touching of controls and less crowding at controls.

There will be a presentation on the technical aspects of using SIAC’s and setting up controls, followed by a discussion about implementing it at IOA events. Ciaran Young – Fingal, Ruairi Short – CNOC and John McCullough -3Roc, will speak about their recent experiences of using Contactless Punching as Organisers/Planners of events.

We welcome all in the orienteering community to attend whether you are a Planner, Organiser, Controller, Results/SportIdent person or participant.

An email with the zoom link has been emailed to each club using their main email address. There is no need to register, but if you have questions you want answered then please email them in advance.
