Did anyone here ever play with a SPORTident SRR-Dongle?

If you don't know what it is, then you need not worry about it:-)

Hi Martin. I haven't but I did build a radio control one time with a Raspberry Pi and a wiffy hotspot. I never tested it in anger but it did 'seem' like it might work well!

At IOC 2011, I used a 400m bluetooth connection to make a radio control for relay commentary which worked well.  I tried using Raspberry PIs and GSM modules in 2017 but they didn't work.

I gave up on the idea when SIACs came along but I recently actually read the info on SRR and thought it might be worth another go.

@martin LVO used a number of radio controls for the JHI a few years ago and I was interested enough to take photos of how they did it. So if you want them I will pass along. They didn't use the Off the Shelf SI kit but made their own. Aine
