A question: if I delete a control from a course in Ór after the event, does the race time (start to finish) remain the same, or does the competitor's time reduce by the amount of the deleted leg(s)?

We had a control at the Devil's Glen today which was removed before the first runners arrived but was then found and replaced.

I have answered my own question by experiment. If you delete a control from a course, the total running time remains the same but one of the split times gets longer so that the time still adds up to the original value. (as you would expect, in fact).
