We have had some issues recently with results.

I received this message from Download:

On Sat, sometimes control 224 would give a correct punched time eg 12:14:32 & other times it recorded an impossible time eg 36:45:32 though always consistent around the 36hr mark usually giving a finish time of around 1510 mins. It would fluctuate over & back between the 2, i.e. my last few finishers didn't have any issues.
We replaced 224 with 233 for the Sun portion of the event and bizarrely the same thing happened with 233 🤷‍♀️again.
On Sun I noticed that the previous control 209 was an hour ahead of time also. When I checked the Sat finishers it was an hour ahead for them also. So maybe this was the culprit after all??
The time was correct/consistent on all SI boxes when we checked them all in SI configuration 3 days prior.
To be able to give the scouts a finish time I removed that control 224 or 233 on the 'edit punches' list, clicked ok, then went back in and added that control in the 'edit punches' list again.
Sometimes I also had to remove control 209 also before the finish time corrected itself and then add 209 in again also.

I had a similar issue with the previous school event at Woodstock.

e.g.

11:10:20 followed by 12:21:40 followed by a series of 35: and 36: results. i.e there was an addition of 24 hours. The baffling thing was the fact it was inconsistent.

I simply deducted 24 hours manually.

Anybody else have the same issue and how did you correct it?

If the time on a control is wrong, it can cause Ór to add 12 hours or 24 hours (depending on the type of card) to the Time Taken calculation as it looks like the competitor went over 1200 or 0000 (depending on the type of card).  Ór does give an hour leeway to try to avoid this happening. However, depending on the exact time error or how long competitors took to complete the leg, you may see inconsistent results.

If you find that a control has the wrong time, the best response is to use the Edit -> Controls menu, edit the offending control and select "Ignore".  Ór will then ignore the time on the control when calculating Time Taken but the competitor will still be required to punch the control, if it is on their course.
