Well a lot of people I know would only decide to go Orienteering on the morning itself, or if it was a sunny day , or just plain forget till Saturday night to enter when of course it is too late .

I believe we are extremely elitist in discouraging entry on the day , gives a strong impression of a closed sport when we need all the participation we can get.
