Hi, hope everyone is well and looking forward to Irish champs this weekend. I have a (rather nerdy) question with respect to the sprint map for Friday's event. The sprint mapping specifications changed very recently ( https://orienteering.sport/new-map-specifications-for-mtbo-and-orienteering-sprint-have-been-published/ ) and as a result, the previously uncrossable symbol green 3 (symbol 410) is now crossable. There's a summary here: https://twitter.com/evajurenikova/status/1485726643599597572/photo/2 . Symbol 411 is forbidden to cross. I'm wondering if symbol 410 is used for Muckross or if it has been changed to 411? Thanks!

There is a post due on the website in relation to this.

The following is the clarification on your really relevant question.

Mapping on the IOC2022 Sprint map is to ISSprOM 2019 NOT ISSprOM2019-2 so the recent changes have not been reflected in the map.

Therefore, hedges drawn with symbol 410 SHALL NOT be crossed.
Hi Paul, thanks for your clarification. Good to know what we can jump over, or not %F0%9F%99%82. Best wishes, Niamh
Some of us will be on the road tomorrow morning. I was expecting to read and digest the post about this before travelling.

Also the postcode for tomorrow is incorrect in the Final Bulletin. It should be V93 CK73. The one currently there is for somewhere in Limerick.
There are a few rideshare requests on liftshare dot com for tomorrow, I would encourage competitors to get in touch there should they wish to avail of.

Capanalea has disappeared from Google maps and now seems to be known as Killorglin OEC although Caragh Lake may get you close enough.
