Sad news: I am sorry to tell you that Liam Convery has passed away. Liam was an early member of the orienteering community in Ireland with the original club, Irish Orienteers. He and his family were regulars at events, both as organisers of 3ROC competitions and as competitors. Their involvement in the 1993 Irish Championships at Carlingford was pivotal to the success of the event, with their local knowledge and contacts, and they generously opened up their house there to orienteers and their equipment.

Our sympathy to Liam's wife, Hazel, and daughters Máire, Karen, Aileen and Sheila, and the extended family.

Many fond memories of Liam, particularly in my years as a junior.

May he rest in peace.
