This winter CorkO have planned a mini Urban series of events. This series will take participants to three great Urban locations.
Urban Series #1: Ballyphephane/The Lough Sunday November 27th
Urban Series #2: Blackrock Sunday January 8th
Urban Series #3: Kinsale Sunday February 12th
So why not join us on some Urban adventures this winter.
URBAN SERIES #1
The first event in our Urban series will take place on the south side of Cork city on Sunday 27th November.
This is a new map of Ballypheane and the Lough mapped by Pat Healy funded by the Irish Orienteering Association and the Sports Council.
There will be three courses on offer on the day
The short course is all within Tory Top Park on a 1:1250 scaled map and is suitable for children and beginners
The medium and long courses are on open roads with traffic, please take care crossing roads. Both courses use a 1:5000 map and visit streets, lanes and housing estates. The long course contains several route choices and the covered distance will be longer than 6km.
Participants can start anytime from 10.30am to 12.00pm
Controls will be collected at 13.00.
Online entry is now open for this event at the following link:
So why not avoid any registration queues on the day and eliminate the need to carry cash and enter online before the online entry closes on Friday November 24th at 11am.
Event registration, start and finish will be in Tory top park, Ballyphephane.
There is limited parking in the car park so it is recommended to park on Connolly road on the east side of the park.
Hope you can join us for an Urban adventure.
