Parking and registration is in front of Lumville House and the start is 600 metres from registration– approx. 5 minute walk. Start times are from 6:30 to 8:00 and courses close strictly at 9:00.

Looking forward to welcoming you to the Curragh next Tuesday. Caoimhe has planned some excellent and challenging courses. Some extra information:

1. Full leg cover is highly recommended. There are a large number of nettles in some areas. You have been warned! (middle and long courses only).
2. The Curragh Golf Course is out-of-bounds.
3. The long and middle courses cross two stiles which can be extremely slippery if wet, so please take care.
4. There is a \'butterfly loop\' on the long course, where you visit a central control three times. Please be sure to run the loops in the right order! There is a good description of butterfly loops here:  http://baoc.org/wiki/Training/Description_of_a_Butterfly_Loop
5. The adventure course is buggy-friendly.

That was a super event in the Curragh yesterday, very enjoyable and a great use of the area. Loads of route choice. Caoimhe O\'Boyle did an excellent job as planner.

Angus Tyner\'s routegadget through the butterfly lopop on long is a true classic, not be be missed.

Fully agree with Marcus on the planning, Great Course! I said it to Caoimhe and mentioned it in Attackpoint. In fact so good I did 6 controls twice! adding on 4km 20 minutes. I skipped the first butterfly loop and headed towards 15 thinking this was the 2nd loop. After 18 I realised this \'loop\' is not heading back!! I reckon most would have effectively retired, but I couldn\'t let my brother beat me without a fight...actually that bit isn\'t true...I couldn\'t let the course beat me so headed back towards 8 realising half way I didn\'t \'need\' 8 so changed course for 9. The extra distance caught up with me on the long leg to 20.

A true classic? I don\'t think so, yes probably not to be missed 🙂 And my brother did beat me by 3 minutes...but he\'s not gloating, though he has a certain satisfaction with the feeling that it isn\'t just me it happens to.
