Setanta is again running both a 24 hour and a 6 hour event in County Wicklow on the weekend of the 14th/15th June. Entries are open at https://www.orienteering.ie/fixtures/&source=gmail&ust=1747734390248000&usg=AOvVaw0cmS_4lZrx7_UorD0LQeA 4">Fixtures – Orienteering in Ireland  The cost is €50 per competitor for the 24 hour event and €40 per person for the 6 hour. Cost includes the map, Spotident hire, hash house for the 24 hour and a big BBQ at the finish.
The 24 hour event, for teams of 2-5 competitors, starts at 2pm on Saturday 14th June. The 6 hour event, which can be for individuals or for teams of 2-5,  commences at 8am on Sunday 15th June. The base will be about 2km up a forest road just north of Laragh village. Both events are using pre-marked laminated maps. These will be issued at the start of each event. No other map is necessary.
As always, we are planning for challenging but enjoyable courses, along with what we hope you will find to be a welcoming and friendly organisation and feel to the event. We would be delighted if you could make it.

Results are uploaded.

6 hr https://www.orienteering.ie/result2/?oaction=moreResult&id=23194

24hr https://www.orienteering.ie/result2/?oaction=moreResult&id=23195

There is an issue, in that the times are missing and hence the points, penalties etc are shifted across under the wrong headings. Placings are done by points (Gross minus penalty) and then done by time if equal on points.

Thanks SET - that was great fun. The map is a work of art, the BBQ was as convivial as ever... might promote ourselves to do 4 hours of the 6-hour next year!
