This Sunday 7th September 2025 kerry orienteers are hosting an orienteering event at dinish in killarney national park.

This Kingdom League 6 will be held on a recently resurveyed map, thanks to the great work of the club’s mapping officer Tony Cotter.
This event is also doubling up as a South West League event so hopefully a large contingent of Corkonians can be expected.
The “bog” has been removed from the map as it is too overgrown but the “marsh “ west of the Old Weir Bridge is largely resurveyed. Expect this area to be wet under foot.

The scale for all 6 courses will be at 1:7,500 which may help competitors to more easily read the fine details.

Course details are as follows:

Brown 7.2km 125 m climb 27 controls
Blue 6.0km 120m.         23 controls
Green 5.4 110m.     21 controls
Light Green 5.0km 100m 16 controls
Red 4.3km 50m 15 controls
Orange 3.4km 40m  13 controls.

Bring jungle formula insect repellent as the car park is notorious for biting midges.
