[Apologies for the delay here - internal CNOC mixup on permits, all sorted now]

The next Leinster League race take place in Oughaval Forest in Stradbally on Tuesday 21st May, with starts available from 11.00 to 13:00.
Parking is quite restricted so please carpool and follow the directions of the helpers.
The forest is in good condition, with some nice running through deciduous forest. Most undergrowth is light, heavier undergrowth is best avoided.
There are no toilet facilities on-site.

Location on Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4LDnxCm9ecUzspFN7

Online entries are now open - https://www.orienteering.ie/fixtures/tbc-9/

Whether you are a complete novice, a family, or a seasoned veteran, there is a course to suit:

Yellow course is designed for complete beginners - short and easy to follow (not buggy friendly!)
Red course is also designed for beginners, but is much longer (aimed at adult beginners)
Orange course is aimed at improving junior orienteers.
Light Green is where it starts to get tricky - more legs are off-track, and require compass and navigation skills
Green/Blue/Brown are all full technical difficulty (mostly off-track), just varying degrees of physical difficuly.
Short Green is like green, but with reduced physical difficulty.

Course Details:

Brown (22 controls, 5.0 km, 180m climb)
Light Green (13 controls, 2.7 km, 70m climb)
Yellow (10 controls,2.1 km 50m climb)
Orange (9 controls,2.3 km 55m climb)
Green (16 controls,4.1 km 140m climb)
Short Green (11 controls,2.6 km 70m climb)
Blue (18 controls,4.4 km 160m climb)
Red (13 controls,4.7 km 150m climb)

SIAC will be enabled on all courses.

Entry fees:

Children: €4 / child
Student: €5 / student
Unwaged: €5 / person
OAP: €5 / person
Family Discount: €20 (Maximum of 2 Adults and no more than 8 family members / family)

If you're not a member of a club, and would like to join CNOC on the day, we're offering free membership for the first year (see more on cnoc.ie)
As with all recent events, we prefer pre-entry via the online entry system.
There will be limited entry on the day (by the number of spare maps we print).
Groups should pre-enter to ensure maps are available.
If you need to hire an SI card, we also rent them for €2, to be returned at the finish. Lost cards cost €40 to replace!

@psmythirl I thought I had already edited it to fix that (I noticed it immediately after posting it), but It remains unchanged. I also don't seem to be able to edit a post from my phone.

Anyways - it's Sun Aug 25th everyone!

The courses are all quite short, are they "middle style" or just more like shortened Leinster League?

Oh I'm quite happy with the courses being short (probably wouldn't run an 8k Brown this weekend), was just curious about how this maps to a normal set of Leinster League courses.
