Entries for Cootehill Dartrey Forest are coming in nicely now. Just a reminder, that online entries will close the end of the week.

Subject to map availability, entry on the day will be possible but at an increased price of €10/£10 plus SI hire.

The league season is coming to an end shortly and this will be one of the last chances to score some points. It is also a beautiful forest setting on the edge of some incredible lakes. So, come along and enjoy a run in the terrain.

We would also point out that REFRESHMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE.  But, please note, in the interest of protecting the environment,  we request that you  BRING YOUR OWN CUP.

We also ask that you might leave the area as you find it and bring any rubbish back home.

SHOULD BE A GREAT RUN.

Time is running down now on the online entry for Dartrey Leinster League event, on Sunday. Anyone still to enter should do so  if they wish to have a run in this beautiful forest terrain.

Just a reminder on a few points:

The event will be signed from Rockcorry Village, Main Street, junction of the R193 and the R188. The assembly is at Rockcorry Nat. School, a kilometre along road, on the left hand side.

From the Cootehill side, the event is signed from the junction of the R188 and the L2032, just north of Cootehill. From there its 6.5km along the R188 to the school, which will be on the right hand side.

Please allow plenty of time,  as it's s 1.6km walk along a forest road, to the start. The finish will not be far from assembly.

Finally, don't forget to BRING A CUP, for refreshments, afterwards.

Enjoy your run.

A big thank you to all who came to our event at Rockcorry, today. Most people seemed to have enjoyed the outing.

We had one injury. We hope that Brenda is not too badly damaged. She had a tumble here year, as well., the forest must have a hex on her. Mind, I could say the same about myself.

We've got a red and black jacket that was left behind at the start. The make is unknown. If the owner contacts us at fingalorienteers@gmail.com, we shall endeavour to return it.

The results are up on Orienteering.ie

There was a problem with RouteGadget and a second set of results was put up. The correct set of results is the lower on the list!
