And the effort included having to deal with postponing, rescheduling, nicked control. Well done Rory for seeing it through to the end. You got more than your fair share of issues in running this event for us.

That\'s fair - we erred on the side of caution in planning the courses. I\'m sure the Bull Island event will be more technical.
Thanks for the feedback,
Rory
Ah Don, don\'t be such an aul\' meanie! We need to encourage new planners!! It\'s hard for an experienced planner on an old map, much more difficult if people are new to planning.
How do novice planners learn the ropes? Current system seems to be throw them into something with limited guidance/resources then give them dog\'s abuse afterwards??
Complaints on the back of a €50 note!! 🙂
A huge amount of effort goes into these events and I\'m grateful fot that. We need to encourage new planners. The other thing we need though is a way of those new planners finding out how they did, whether that was good or bad. The thing is though, that applies to all planners and all events in Ireland, there isn\'t really a feedback loop apart from who you chat to on the day, and their opinions will vary with so many factors. We should be trying to keep people coming back to events and not feeling like it will just be the same as it was before
Personally, I\'ve erred on the side of giving no feedback over negative, except with people I know well. This isn\'t really productive in the long term.
@rshort I think you\'re bang on in terms of not having a feedback loop (/forum/place for discussion) .... so how do we fix that? is Facebook the answer? Personally I don\'t like posting on FB.... Any comments/ideas (no matter how realistic) welcome!
