Another acronym...Irish Schools Orienteering Championships for Primary schools.

The same venue as the Secondary schools will be used.

Kennedy Arboretum and gardens, near New Ross, County Wexford on May 17th.

We propose to run 3 layers of races to facilitate all the levels of ability amongst schools and for those travelling a distance.

1. Standard competitive races for 6th class boys, 6th class girls, 5th class boys and 5th class girls. They start as individuals a minute apart and the winners will be considered Irish champions.  In addition, there will be  team prizes for the  first 3 teams of 4  to complete the course.
2. Pairs races for those of less ability: 6th class and 5th class pairs. They can be mixed. Whilst this is not competitive, some medals will be awarded where appropriate.
3. Maze races open to all, after completion of standard races..

Make a day of it.. There is a playground, toilets, a coffee dock and ample parking.
