This sunday 22nd February kerry orienteers are hosting an orienteering event in glenageenty woods in ballymacelligot kerry. It will be signposted from n21 castleisland/tralee road. Start times are between 11am-1pm.

Parking will be in the forest car park.

Glenageenty is a woodland reserve in a valley with a mix of mature woodland and young forrest with extensive path network. Some of the banks are steep in places and a rope has been put in place so there will be a mix of abseiling for you to enjoy.

There will be three courses and details are as follows

Green 4.6km 200 m climb 29 controls
Light Green 4.2km 135m climb 23 controls
Orange 3.1km 100m climb 14 controls
