This new format of competition will be held on Sunday 22 June as part of the LVO Festival of O. It will consist of two competitions, a Mixed team (two men, two women) and a Handicap race for teams of three of any gender. Both are open to competitors af any age.
In the Handicap competition, team members will receive a handicap adjustment based on historic competitor speeds by age class, and the total of this will determine the team\'s handicap adjustment. Base time will be set by the M21 class. The Mixed team race will start at 10.30 am sharp with the first Handicap teams starting shortly afterwards.
The running order of the Mixed teams will be female, male, male, female with the females running Short courses, and males Long courses. The course running order of the Handicap teams will be Long, Short, Long. Approx course lengths are 2.0k Long, and 1.5k Short. Courses will be gaffled. The technical standard of all courses will be Orange with the emphasis on speed.
Entry forms will be available at the Friday and Saturday events. If you would like to take part but do not have a full team we will operate a clearing system to make up teams. If so please mail me (haroldwhite29@btinternet.com) or see me at one of the events. Entry fees payable on registration are £12 for Mixed teams and £9 for Handicap teams.
Registration forms must be returned to me by 6pm on the Saturday evening when the team bibs will be issued.
Assembly is at the West side of the main carpark in Tollymore Forest Park.
