CNOC have joined forces with Laois Sports Partnership, OPW and Heritage Week for an introductory orienteering event at Emo Court, Laois on SATURDAY 24th August.
Whilst the event is mainly focused on newcomers and has been publicised by Laois Sports Partnership, Pat has kindly planned a longer course for more experienced orienteers so you won\'t miss out on an opportunity to run this beautiful map. Note starts are from 10 am, although it could be a bit hectice with newcomers at this time, so best be there from 10.30 if you know what you\'re doing!
Entrance to the car park is via the Emo village entrance to Emo court and signposted from the M7 motorway junction 15. Note Google maps may take you a different route via roads which do not access the car parking!
There are several courses on offer so why not bring some friends to try out the sport, bring a picnic if weather permits or try out the beautiful café in Emo Court!
The grounds and house have and are undergoing some extensive remodelling. There\'s even revamped toilets. More information about Emo Court and the house tours can be found here.

Warm up (a mini model event)- punched- 800m/500m - 7/5 controls
Short -SI- 1.5km/1.7km -10/11 controls
Medium-SI- 3km/2.9km - 20/19 controls
Long-SI- 4.9km- 16 controls
