This Sunday kerry orienteers are hosting another kingdom league event at Dinish in the national Park in killarney. The event will be signposted from N71 killarney/kenmare Road.

This event is open to the public and newcomers are always welcome.

Start times are from 11am-1pm and courses close at 3pm

There will be 6 courses on offer catering for all abilities.

Brown 6.7km 145m 17controls
Blue 5.4km 110m 12controls
Green 4.2km 95m 10controls
Light green 3.7km 75m 8controls
Red 4.2km 75m 8controls
Orange 3.0km 55m 8controls

This event will also be included in the kingdom league and is the 6th event in the league. Top 5 events will contribute to final scores at the end of the year.

Dinish and meeting of the waters is a scenic area in the park which has a long path which the orange and light green course will stay close to. The more technical courses Brown, blue, green will be mainly in the open area of the map with some small parts of the woods being used. Course have been shortened to take into account the technical terrain in places. The terrain is generally runnable with some areas of high vegetation. Courses have been set to try avoid most of this. Full leg covering required due to ticks.

The shorter and less technical courses will focus on the easier wooded area and just of paths.
