Cabinteely Park on Sunday, Come and Try It

Beginners are welcome on Sunday to GEN’s ParkO event in Cabinteely Park.

This is the prefect event to try Orienteering for the first time ! All ages and fitness levels can take part.

There will be three courses on offer:-

Short 1.5km, no. of controls 10

Medium 2.8 km, no. of controls 16

Long 4.8 km, no. of controls 21

Starts are between 11:00am and 13:00pm. The registration will be in front of the house and the car park can reached by entering ‘The Park’ estate on Park Drive from Cornelscourt Hill Road. Continue straight along Park Drive until you reach the park.,

If you approaching from the N11, take the turn for Cornelscourt, travel on the Old Bray Road until you reach Cornelscourt Hill Road and turn on to it. If approaching from the M50, exit at the Carrickmines junction and travel along the Glenamuck Road North which joins Cornelscourt Hill Road.

The weather forecast for Sunday is very promising and Cabinteely Park offers many attractions. The grounds surround an 18th century house and a market takes place on Sunday mornings. There is a superb playground and pleasant coffee shop for PostO refreshments.
