Busy week of orienteering
It’s been a full on week in the world of orienteering in Ireland.
Monday saw the start of the sold-out new 4-week Planner’s Course. Twelve clubs were represented, with an almost equal mix of gender, across all ages, from the beginner to the more seasoned planner.
Two Ready To Go Orienteering courses, attended by primary and secondary school teachers, were held in Cork and Sligo, in conjunction with Cork Sports Partnership and Sligo Sports and Recreation Partnership.
Multiple schools orienteering events took place in Co. Cork, Waterford and Kilkenny, during the week.
Four public events took place last Sunday around the country; a further three events are taking place this coming Sunday.
Then over in Sligo the official launch of a new MapRun course takes place on Saturday.
