AGM2025 Final Information

Our AGM in Limavady on 04 May 2025 will be our first AGM as a Limited Company (CLG). At the AGM all five of our directors are required to stand down from the Board and their positions will become vacant for election. This will not preclude the former directors from standing for re-election, but new members to the Board are always welcome (while remaining in line with the government requirement for a 40% representation of females at board level).

Our Officer appointments will also be up for re-election, and members are encouraged to consider running for these roles also. Unfortunately Jens Waechter will be stepping down as our High-Performance Manager, and this position will be required to be filled for certain.

While we are professionalising some of our activities, OI will remain a volunteer led and driven organisation. Our goals for the next five years are to strengthen our clubs, increase participation, advance orienteering standards, improve national & international performance, be well governed & managed, and to achieve industry recognition.

On behalf of the Board, we would encourage clubs to have committee members present at our AGM to encourage club and NGB engagement and to allow clubs to gather information first hand for their members. Members of the OI Board & Management Group should not be considered as club representatives at the AGM.
