Please note, the Government Guidelines must be obeyed at all times, in particular those relating to travel, physical distancing and quarantining of those with symptoms. The latest guidelines are available at: https://www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/c36c85-covid-19-coronavirus/
The table below shows the allowed activities at each level. A number of exceptions to the general restrictions have been made recently for Level 5. They are that it is allowed”… to take school aged children to permitted training…” . The permitted training is described as ” .. non-contact training can continue for school aged children, outdoors in pods of 15″. Orienteering at Covid-19 Levels 1 – 5

The Government and Sport Ireland have issued guidance on activities during the Resilience and Recovery Levels. The Irish Orienteering Association are providing this information to assist Clubs and Orienteers on Orienteering at each of these levels.
At all times adhere to Social Distancing advice and Travel Advice.

Covid-19 Event Guidelines and Code of Conduct
To assist in us all being able to keep orienteering safely the IOA have developed a Participant Code of Conduct and Event Guidelines. You can view/download these documents below.
Sport Ireland has issued a guideline that everyone must submit a Covid 19 Health Declaration and contact tracing details for each event. This information can be gathered when you pre-enter the event. You need to ensure that your Covid-19 Health Declaration is still valid before you arrive at the event.

Orienteering Education Courses
The Basic Instructor course and RTGO courses can take place as outlined below.
Level 1 | BI and RTGO Face to Face courses as normal |
Level 2 | BI and RTGO Face to Face courses as normal |
Level 3 | BI and RTGO Face to Face courses completely outdoors. Participants from within the county where course is taking place. |
Level 4 | BI and RTGO Face to Face courses completely outdoors. Participants from within the county where course is taking place. |
Level 5 | Online courses only. |
