The IOF IT Commission will organise an open technology meeting at the World Orienteering Championships 2016 in Strömstad, Sweden.
The meeting will be held on Friday 26 August between 18:00-20:00 at Strömstad Gymnasium (Event Centre). The meeting is scheduled to last 2 hours, and each presentation is limited to 10-15 minutes (“lightening talk”) with 5 minutes for Q&A.
The aim of the meeting is to gather technology savvy orienteers for presentations and discussions about relevant technology – timekeeping, GPS, analysis, hardware, software etc. The presentations should not be “sales presentations”, but rather presentations about how different products can be useful to develop orienteering and how they work, aimed at a technically competent audience.
You are most welcome to this meeting and to hold a presentation on the newest technical development. If you are interested in coming to the meeting, please contact the IOF IT Commission with your suggestion for a presentation no later than June 30, by sending an email to: iof.itc@orienteering.org
